The following team members are just the tip of the iceberg. There are many volunteers and students who are also regular and important members of the NEDIC team.
Suzanne Phillips
Program Manager
Suzanne Phillips joined NEDIC as Program Coordinator in March, 2007. Prior to NEDIC, Suzanne worked as a helpline worker at the Eating Disorders Association in the UK (now B-Eat), and as a crisis worker for Samaritans. In 2016 Suzanne became NEDIC's Program Manager, spearheading such initiatives as Beyond Images, NEDIC’s educational program, and the “Be You” badge challenge for Girl Guides of Canada. Suzanne holds a degree in Business Administration from York University, a diploma in Social Work from the University of East Anglia, and a certificate in HR Management from Ryerson University.
Marbella Carlos
Education and Outreach Coordinator
Marbella Carlos first joined NEDIC as a volunteer in 2013 and became full time staff in 2014. She is an Ontario Certified Teacher who completed her Bachelor of Education at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto (Inner-City Cohort) and her Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of Calgary. She has taught in experiential learning centres, arts organizations, the Toronto public school system, and community engagement programs for learners of all ages, backgrounds and abilities. She blends her experience in education and program coordination with her passion for eating disorder awareness, critical media literacy and emotional resilience in her role as the Outreach and Education Coordinator.
Elizabeth Pottinger, CFRE
Development Officer
Elizabeth joined NEDIC in August, 2016, having worked as Manager of Individual Giving at Hot Docs International Documentary Festival from 2013-2016. Elizabeth is thrilled to be a part of the Major Gifts team at the Toronto General & Western Hospital Foundation. Elizabeth holds a Masters degree in Canadian History from Queen’s University (’10), a Masters degree in Museum Studies from the University of Toronto (’13), and her CFRE certification.
